Household Waste

While we can all move towards a less waste lifestyle, household rubbish is still very much a reality of our day to day lives. By reducing, reusing and recycling we can help to make a dent in this. For anything else, disposing of your waste responsibly can help prevent litter and flytipping.

Household waste - wheelie bins along a street

What can you do?

  1. Grab your reusable water bottle, bag for life and coffee cup to reduce the chance of having to get rid of rubbish

  2. Local recycling points full? Take your bag back home until the container has been emptied – leaving it beside them is flytipping

  3. Secure wheelie bins to stop rubbish from making a break for it during bad weather

  4. Check that any contractors working on your home have a registered waste carrier certificate
