Recycle Week is an opportunity to celebrate recycling and encourage a week of positive action.
2020 has been a year like no other so we are focusing on the fact that Scotland has kept on recycling and Zero Waste Scotland wants to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU to householders within our communities.
Our content features activities that we have all been doing a lot more of in 2020 – like online gym classes and working from home - while tapping into the many ways us ‘Scots’ like to say thank you. Ya Belter, Pure Dead Brilliant, Oan Yersel’ to name a few!
It’s been a year like no other. Thank you for continuing to recycle no matter what and helping to protect our environment. #RecycleWeek
This year Recycle Week goes digital! From 21-27 September 2020 our social media channels and website will be packed full of Recycle Week content, so get sharing with your friends and family.
You can also search the hashtag #RecycleWeek to take a look at what others are doing and use the hashtag in your own posts too.
Take on a Recycle Week challenge!
This Recycle Week challenge yourself, are you truly recycling everything that you can? Check with your local authority so you know exactly what can and can't be recycled at the kerbside but also check to see what else you can recycle locally.
Does your local supermarket collect plastic film? Do you have a TerraCycle collection point nearby you? Are you recycling from every room in your home? The bathroom is a haven for often forgotten recyclabes.
Could you and your family try a week of waste-free lunches? No cling film, no cut off crusts, no unnecessary waste.
We're looking forward to another belter of a Recycle Week and thank you for recycling! Scotland Recycles. #RecycleWeek
